You And I Poem by David Clinch

You And I

I wake and feel the warmth
A casual arm resting, rising, falling with your breath.
The scattered, anxious dreams of morning
Fade alongside you.

We share the days together
Smiling at the years, ageing, taking the memories.
Tensions appearing, volatile, gone.
You, I, us, we live on.
