You Are Feeling Down Poem by Francis Duggan

You Are Feeling Down

You are feeling down and your luck has run out
And you feel unworthy and haunted by self doubt
And big brother's disciples are running you down
And spreading their gossip of you in the town
And others about you do not seem to care
It is a rat race in the big World out there
But still you climb on up on your hill of despair
And people of your courage are very rare
The great lust for life is a marvellous thing
And though your praises others don't bother to sing
Financially poor but your will it is strong
And you have it in you to battle along
And despite what big brother's own knockers of you do say
For you too there will be a far better day
