You Are Not Endangered Poem by Mike Blotzer

You Are Not Endangered

She swears a smile can hide away, the doubt she faces everyday
And to the masses, It's a job well done;
But I see through the misdirection

For birds of a feather stick together, and a fool can recognize his own
But the ones who hide the most sometimes, go a lifetime without hope

So I swear to you, fear not the dark
I promise you there's soon the dawn
You have friends like you, so don't you fret
I hear every word, even when you're silent.
