You Can'T Go Home Poem by Eloida Capuno

You Can'T Go Home

Rating: 3.0

the house becomes
a stranger when
you have not seen
it for long
everything else is
changed
the old road you used
to walk on
even the trees that
lined along
seem unwelcoming
and the smiles from
folks you once knew
have faded in
oblivion
nothing's the same
i am home
but not quite
only the suitcases
fit in my room
