You Cheered Me Up Poem by Gail Grierson

You Cheered Me Up

I was feeling pretty miserable,
Had a very nasty cold;
My cellphone rang and right away
I felt better, truth be told.

I needed just to hear your voice,
Made a difference in my day;
You made me smile, you cheered me up,
In your own delightful way.

It wasn’t so much what you said
That made my spirits climb;
Was just the fact you cared enough
To call, you took the time.
