when we started to talk
i started to fall
i thought of you
i gave you my all

but then you lied
shot me in the heart
i wanted to find a way
back to our start

i never hurt so bad
i never cried so hard
you said we could be friends
but my heart was in shards

still in pain i played along
acting like i was fine
hoping one day
that i could shine

then you said
we could try again
but the best layed plans
of mice and men

it hurt me more
feeling numb
left me alone
feeling dumb

then into darkness
was where the trail ran
i decided no
and alone i stand

now im better
since you left me
a complete lie
a new degree
