You Let Yourself Go Away

You let yourself go away again
Forcing me to show you my love all over again
I'm not going anywhere again
When will you see

You let yourself go away again
Your battle scars have shown again
Your past has won the war again
When will you see

You let yourself go away again
Your hiding your thoughts and life again
Your keeping yourself in charge again
When will you see

You let yourself go away again
And now I have to wait again
I'm powerless as can be again
Why can't I see

You let yourself go away again
You got my heart for life again
I hope you can see who I am again
I pray you see

Poem of the Day

poet Edmund Spenser

My love is like to ice, and I to fire:
How comes it then that this her cold so great
Is not dissolved through my so hot desire,
But harder grows the more I her entreat?
