You Lied, I Die Poem by Ashley Kolakowski

You Lied, I Die

The empty bottles all around,
So high,
I think I could fly.
You lied
I needed to do this
I accept death, like a kid does candy.
I'm tired of your lies and games.
I finally gave up.
Took all the pills I could find.
Wrote 'This is for you' on the mirror.
Never have to deal with your mind games again
No one can help now
Flying.
My thoughts are all mixed.
Vision blurred.
I fall to the ground and smile.
I float above my body.
I head into the light,
Just as you walk in,
And see me die.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was betrayed by someone really close to me. And this is the only way I could get it out, so I didn't kill myself.
