You Make Life Worth Living Poem by Hayden Walstrom

You Make Life Worth Living

I walk through this never ending meadow
As thunder roles in the near distance.
The sun shines its last
And I fall into darkness.
Snares of my past grasp my ankle
Lightning flashes and thunder rumbles
While my mind is swimming with all my troubles.
A breeze blows going nowhere fast
I think about the mistakes of my past.
The rain still continues to fall
In my mind, the memories of past dissolve.
Then I start to think about you
And all the wonderful things you do.
All the love you give each day
Is more than I deserve by the way.
I muse about this often
Pretty much everyday
I love you so much
You make everything okay
In my heart forever
is where you’ll stay.
The darkness, rain and wind have all gone away
Even in the dismay
You make my life worth living everyday.
