You Owe It To You Poem by Nosheen Irfan

You Owe It To You

Rating: 5.0

To believe in yourself a little more
When everybody has gone
And you are left alone

To listen to yourself more deeply
When you have no words
Only sighs and sobs

To look at yourself with more tenderness
When you feel unloved
For no reason you know

Hi Nosheen, Fantastic revelation. Only when loneliness starts to haunt us, we realise that we are all alone. When we are denounced by all, and left with no love, we should look inward to pick up the torn threads and start loving ourselves, for, there are enough innate qualities within us, that others have not seen or just refused to acknowledge.

I feel to a self-assessment after going through this brilliant line, 'To look at yourself with more tenderness When you feel unloved'. A wonderful poem...top score!

Well expressed! One finds ones beauty only in the inward journey, not in the mirror that is other people (except in true love) . As Bulleh Shah said (my translation and adaptation) : Where is the love you seek A love that is true Listen and it will speak Hidden inside of you. With their zest and insight Humans lifted the veil from heaven But the beauty that dwells inside Unnoticed, it remains hidden
