You'Re Always There Poem by Shelby Walters

You'Re Always There

I walk into your house and you're sitting in your chair.
You see me and a huge smile spreads across your face.
Seeing you smile makes me do the same.
You've helped me grown in so many ways
In just the short seventeen years of my life.
And although seventeen years seems long for a grandchild to spend with a grandparent,
It isn't.
I dread the day you are taken from my arms.
I want you to be there when I get married and have my babies.
But I know if you are taken before it happens you will still be there,
Because I will always carry you with me.
