You’re No Use Just Sitting There

Depressed in church should be no one
God’s blessed with hearts full joy
Sharing God’s grace, serving God’s Son
Against hell’s every ploy

With Jesus Christ, no one can fail
The fights not ours no more
The devil knows he’ll burn in jail
Once death has closed its door

Though small battles are still ours
The cross has threat reduced
Taking death’s keys, Satan’s powers
Until through Christ he’s loosed

By then Jesus’ bride has risen
Who’ve drank from true life’s well
While rebels in ice cold prison
Will join devils, in hell

Its souls still perishing on the street
Ignorant of the cross
Even from help, they’ll quick retreat
Festooned with rotten dross

On these; we need to concentrate
To shine salvation’s light
Instead of joining Satan’s fate
They need to learn to fight

We too were once as deaf as these
We too were lost and blind
Until we learned to bend our knees
For truth to change our mind

We need to walk that extra mile
For these to walk as we
To teach to live, at life’s storms smile
And watch the devil flee…..
