You'Re Not Forgotten Poem by Lilly Rose

You'Re Not Forgotten

I hear your laughter.

Your deep comforting voice,

Telling me you're here.

I feel your touch.

The gentleness of your rough hands,

How they entwine with mine.

I smell your cologne.

Sweet and musky,

Reminding me of our times together.

I see your figure in the doorway.

Waiting for me to follow,

Your mischievous intentions cleverly hidden.

I love your closeness.

How you are always here,

Sheltering me from harm.

I sense your presence.

Your even breathing,

The sound of your heart beating.

I dream of your face.

Your bright, green eyes,

Stealing my love away.

I remember your smile.

Entrancing and captivating,

Teasing me into loving you.

I think of you in present tense.

Holding my hand,

Kissing my lips.

I used to believe that you were gone.

Forever,

Lost to me.

Nothing is lost.

Unless,

It is forgotten.
