1. You said I was beauty in your eyes,
Like a diamond sparklin' on a ring.
You also said that I was like a flower,
Growin' tall and pretty in the spring.
You said my eyes were ocean blue,
And that they were as gorgeous as the sky.
You mentioned that my heart was full of many colors,
I hate to say these words, but, 'Good-bye.'

Can't you stay a longer time?

But when I saw you with that other girl,
I asked myself, 'What am I gonna do? '
Then I knew the answer was I'd live my own life.
