You Stopped Fighting Poem by Bryce King

You Stopped Fighting

Hear my crys.
Hear my trys.
Hear my tears.
Hear my fears.
O! Love me please!
Put me at ease!
Rest your souls!
Like firey coals,
You burn evermore!
Open the door!
Don't shut me out!
All my doubts!
Take them away make them better!
I'd hate to be a regretter!
Please don't fight!
You lost sight,
Of what really matters!
We climb these ladders,
In hopes that it'll be Ok.
Why we went astray,
I would not know what to answer.
Scream your awful shaking banter!
If that's what you please!
How you skin my knees,
Why do you think I'm writing?
Stop fighting!
You stopped fighting.
