You Where Never Mine Poem by Gerard Parks

You Where Never Mine

You had the voice of an angel
So sweet it made my heart skip a beat
With beautiful brown eyes
That opened to a land of bliss
Your smile is like the morning sun shine
And you skin as white as snow
With a touch smoother than silk
Why do I remember these things about you
Even after all the things we went through
But the one truth I could never hide
Is that you would never be mine
