Your Bullet Left No Wounds Poem by Oliver Clarke

Your Bullet Left No Wounds

Rating: 4.5

I feel it pierce through me,
But unlike a bullet it leaves no wounds,
Only this unbreakable feeling,
And a dark image that forever looms.

Life’s not like these fairy tales,
They tell you that not everything fails,
But if the kids all knew the truth,
Then we couldn’t handle all the broken youth.

They say you’ve only get one life,
And that you choose how to live it,
But is that even really true,
Please tell me when you’ve seen it.

If I asked you to make it all better,
Would you give me your promise?
Tell me you’ll never do anything again,
Maybe then we can be “just friends”.

Wow, how depressing we are,
Always trying to pick at our scars,
I really don’t mind, I really do care,
It’s all up to you, and it’s only fair.

Maybe things are getting hard,
And I’d like to say they will get better,
But I am sorry that I don’t know,
Do I still wish I met her?

Of course.
