Just Give Me One Photograph Poem by Oliver Clarke

Just Give Me One Photograph

Rating: 3.5

Just give me one photograph,
So I can reminisce,
From before I knew you,
Before I stared into the abyss.

Will I be okay?
Will I come out of this alive?
How did I live without you?
Now how will I survive?

Could I run away?
Would you even care?
Would you try and hunt me down?
Or do you have more of me to spare?

Do you even need me?
Because I know I need you,
Do you see right through me?
Or do you see the truth?

Why do I think of this pain?
And picture you with “him”,
Because deep down I know,
There is no good it will bring.

Are you really here for me?
Were you really close to tears?
Because hearing you say this,
Carries me beyond my fears.

And now I can look back,
I’ve had time to think,
If I had to choose,
Between a picture with no link,
And going through this pain,
Then I would do it all again.
