Your Empty Doorway Poem by Rebecca Roberts

Your Empty Doorway

Rating: 4.5

.I'd stare at the empty doorway

Waiting to hear your decree

I'd run away from fame

If it meant I could see thee

I stare at the empty doorway if I could

But I know I'm must accept change

Although change isn't always good

I know now I must learn to love again

I know now that this is not the end

I know now that it was fate

And I know now we were never meant to hate

But that doesn't mean I wouldn't stare

I'd always stare at your empty doorway

When I heard your sound

I nearly broke down

When it was too late

My heart would no more inflate

Although it's time to die

I'll never go and I'll never fly

Because you finally made me happy

And now I can finally be free

I'd stare at your empty doorway

Waiting to hear your decree

I'd run away from fame

If it meant I could see thee
