Your Hand Poem by Randal Evans

Your Hand

Rating: 4.0

This world will show no favour
To king or pauper in kind
It is there for all who will savour
And make best of what you will find

This hand you are dealt for a reason
To fathom and make of its best
Its not there to cage or to prison
But to see if your up to the test

You can whinge and say that your blighted
By the cards that fall at your feet
Or use to the full what you've sighted
And decide not to haggle or bleat

The world will watch as you travel
Along all roads rough and smooth
With your challenges and how they unravel
Determines if the world will approve

The bigger the challenge to cope
The greater the prize to achieve
On this you eternally hope
In a fair world you have to believe

You sometimes obsess that your fated
To stay in this spot where you stand
But know that this world was created
For the one that controls his own hand

I am very pleased to read this poem of yours- an inspiring and motivational piece. I appreciate your well articulated thoughts. The last stanza is amazing: 'You sometimes obsess that your fated To stay in this spot where you stand But know that this world was created For the one that controls his own hand'

Indeed forces of the mind can be employed to control force of fate. An insightful motivational piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing Randal. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
