Your Kindness I Shall Apart Poem by Rik Bertrand

Your Kindness I Shall Apart

Tandem times tear at my heart,
I sometimes wither in the light.
My life seems to be falling apart,
I see only you in my fight.

Hold me and relight my fire
Mend my broken heart.
Look into my eyes of desire
Manifest a work of art.

Pain hampers my emotions,
And devours the vivid rhyme,
Love cries out for devotions,
Looking for what was lost in time.

My savior in spirit and mind,
My hero of the heart,
A loved one so hard to find
Your kindness I shall apart.

Hope and despair deceive me,
I am left on the corner to grieve.
I do not know how to break free,
But you have inspirited me to believe.

Angels crowd to comfort my soul
But you are all I desire.
You keep my life in control,
You have rekindled the living fire.
