Your Lips Stole My Breath Poem by Joseph D E Phillips

Your Lips Stole My Breath

Your lips stole my breath
the first time they touched
and not even death
could scare me so much

for in that sweet kiss
I knew that my plans
were shattered by bliss
when I took your hands.

I pushed back the fear
and pulled my love close
and when you drew near
a new plan arose.

This tale of devotion
I swear it all true.
It set into motion
the marriage of two
The night your lips first
stole my breath.
