Your Love Stretches Across My Sunset Poem by Amanda Elizabeth Sanchez

Your Love Stretches Across My Sunset

Your heart is not exempt of pain, nor it built to sink a shipwreck at sea
But if you choose to tread the waves you'll float against the tide by me
The raging pulse, pumping veins, like heat when the sun dies down.
Trust me when I say to you, 'boo, don't give up just yet...we've barely touched the ground.'
Stay with me, You'll see my love stretch across the golden sunset, free
Rejoice when the colors bleed, reds washing under thee
Just know when the sun meets the moon, you can always count on me.
When the floodgates rise, confess your love profound
Well wash away the past of us, of them, around, around, around, no sound.
