Your Only Friend Is Your Self (Song)

Rating: 4.5

Your only friend is your self.

May I keep on and continue praying for you?
May I add a little belief in the prayer too?
As the light shines in the forest of despair
the answer will show.

I kick the cold ground with my toes...
Embracing the light as it shows...
My hair fluttering in the sky finds me...
in the moonlight by you

Let's cast away your frightened eyes
Take all your loneliness aside
You think it's fine when your tough, even though...
Your only friend is yourself

you see...
Oh don't worry (oh, don't worry)
That's your past to me

Is there any way i can show comfort to you?
Can I banish all the darkness deep inside you?
Is it okay for me to seek your bold wisdom,
and your kindness too...?

I want to strengthen my skill for a bold, strong heart
Though I wonder where I'll even begin to start.
Oh, great light, show me the answer to my dreams,
As you brightly glow.

May I keep on and continue praying for you?
May I add a little belief in the prayer too?
As the light shines in the forest of despair
the answer will show.

Let's cast away your frightened eyes
Take all your loneliness aside
You think it's fine when your tough, even though...
Your only friend is yourself
you see...
Oh don't worry (oh, don't worry)
That's your past to me

Is there any way i can show comfort to you?
Can I banish all the darkness deep inside you?
Is it okay for me to seek your bold wisdom,
and your kindness too...?
I want to strengthen my skill for a bold, strong heart
Though I wonder where I'll even begin to start.
Oh, great light, show me the answer to my dreams,
As you brightly glow.

I like the theme of this song annie. Sorry to harp on about spelling (e.g.; 'you're' and not 'your') but it will help enhance the presentation of the lyrics. What's also important is that even though we can't hear the music, your lyrics encourage me to imagine how the song might sound. Mark
