Your Personal Demon Poem by Marilyn Shepperson

Your Personal Demon

Rating: 4.0

I sit here in the corner
Invisible to your eyes
Watching your every movement
Like a cat after prey
Hearing your every spoken word
Knowing your every thought
Good or bad, I know you well
For I have made you mine
Oh, I could be kind and leave
And maybe when your time is through
Your soul would wing its' way to Heaven
Yet I, who have all eternity
Am enjoying far too much
These seemingly fleeting moments
I will spend in your company
So, I will continue to sit
Invisible in the corner
But, with a chthontic smile on my face.
