' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' Your Shoes

Rating: 2.6

Your shoes
all stand together

lined up like a chorus line
in the bottom of your wardrobe.

These your dancing
these your kiss me kiss me shoes

these your plod
around the house doin’ nuthin’ shoes

these your carefree
who gives a....shoes.

The shoes
chatter amongst themselves

remembering all the different YOUs
you could be

Your dresses float above them
like dreams your shoes dreamed.

Tomorrow
they will learn of your death

packed away
in black refuse sacks

beginning their new life
in a charity shop.
