Your Wall Poem by Ray Hansell

Your Wall

I can tell by looking in your eyes
That you've been hurt before
I can tell by the way you speak
When it comes to love you're not sure

You say that you have built a wall
To keep your feelings in
But is that really living
Even though being hurt is where you've been

Not all people will hurt you
There are some who'll actually care
But if you don't knock down your wall
You'll never know what's waiting there
