Your War Is Over Poem by Hesbon Nyamweya

Your War Is Over

My heart is weak, with your demise my dear...
My life is bleak, with despair and fear...
My face runs in creek, of nothing but tears...
I was like a golden teak, but now vulnerable and drear...
Your love I seek, though dissolution but still feel you near...
Go go my brother, your war is over.

How do I send you down, with this poignant grief...
In your send-off I frown, and worn out like a withered leaf...
They say it's fatalistic, but with this scar I can't still believe...
Your eulogy is melancholic, so I have to make it brief..
Full of life and energetic, your death came like a thief..
So rest in peace my dear, your war is over.

This doleful day has surely come...
Let me enchant your feet in rose perfume...
Embellish your headstone in Jasmine and white rose..
Light the candles and burn the incense...
Wrap you in white linen shroud of innocence..
And set you to heaven, because your ear is over.

May your felicitous spirit intoxicate in eternal slumber...
Your love care and ever smiles, we'll always remember...
Fly your soul in unbound sanctum..
Let's nature embalm your body till we meet again...
Goodbye our comforter, YOUR WAR IS OVER.

END
