You're My Last Love Poem by Colin Coplin

You're My Last Love

Rating: 5.0

All the stars, in the sky, don't mean nothing to me, watch them shiver
From a side walk café, I watch them rise, then slowly disappear

You're not the first love, you're my last love
A notebook in the draw
As you read, turn another page over
Our love's in every song

The leaves on the trees, sway like ghosts, as they dance with the breeze, in winter
And the seas caress the shore, carving coastlines we adore, it doesn't matter

You're not the first love, you're my last love
I hold you in my arms
As the world turns just a little bit faster
You're where I belong

All the times that we shared, wrapped up in cherished memories
Are stored in our minds, souls, hearts and bones
All the things that make us whole
Will divide when we die, then explode and multiply, a billion fold
To fill space and time in endlessness one
Yes, we are now, and forever

You're not the first love, you're my last love
I hold you in my arms
As the world turns just a little bit faster
You're where I belong

All the stars in the sky, don't mean nothing to me
Watch them shiver
From a side walk café, you're with me,
Now and forever

Our love is good love, our love is pure love
I hold you in my arms
As the world turns just a little bit faster
You're where I belong
