Poems by Steven S. Walsky : 40 / 40
Yours
Yesterday I prayed for your happiness
I prayed for your tomorrow
not mine
not my heart
but yours
Yesterday I cried tears for you
I yelled silently for you
not in my longing arms
but for you to find
the arms you seek
Yesterday I closed my eyes
I saw you standing there
I reached for you
only to grasp air
love, true love is like that
the willingness to sacrifice
my dreams for yours
