Youth Poem by adetona adeyemo

Youth

The age of ecstasy and energy
With the lure sex or achievement
The moment of valor or vanity
How what we do on your watch shapes us

Soar still when you can
Here comes the baggage of a partner
The patter of tiny feet
The multiple roles beckons soon

How do I glory in you
The season of dating, vigorous religious pursuit and what have we
The vogue of six packs and Jeremy street shirt
Sometimes I ask if you are the sun.
