Zen In L.A. Poem by MARINA GIPPS

Zen In L.A.

Rating: 5.0

In only one place for a dollar,
the corners tire, your wise friend says.
Everywhere is where you'll
be, stay, play in L.A.
with the notion of one space
where love in potholes will
grow up and blossom
into a flower cloud-
where you can smell
the ancient rain, eastern perfume
now in your new western land,
but never homeland.
