Hiding behind lies
Shrinking away from truth
Shielded by denial
From what they know

I made up this story
Inside my head
Living it’s tragedy
And dark thoughts I’d tread

Crisp and unshaken
Carefully untouched
Fortunately permitting
A guarded oblivion

An incessant buzzing in my head
