Great father, ... All-father
First of us all
Today, we lay you to rest
Today we sing our best
...

What is it about evenings…
Is it because they are closer to the end of the day?
Why does everything become clearer, …
As clear as a dying man's realization,
...

Help me out dear friends;
what should I do…?
What would you do,
if you ever woke up in such a world as I have?
...

The never-ending race raged on,
and we soon learned that
a lone runner tires faster than a company.
For it was barely impossible to realize tiredness,
...

What would you wish for, …?
Indeed, what would you wish for, o man,
should you be granted a single wish
which had the power to manifest true?
...

Despair!
How easily it spots its prey.
You, oh smart human, will, no doubt, see it raise its monstrous head from afar.
Yet, the closer it gets, the more you realise: "you cannot stop it."
...

Waaah! Waaah……… waaah…..
Goes the alarm, ringing in my ears.
How much more annoying can it get?
I know I must rise.
...

Never was it necessary for a man to ponder,
to fantasize, to obsess and to wonder;
for if it was,
then why was the fruit of knowledge not given,
...

O, how effortlessly he continued his queer dealings,
and by the time I met him,
his life was almost pleasureless.
……to imagine that such a life had become second nature to someone…..
...

On the seventh day after the skies grew dark,
The earth shook it's foundations off
A quake that rippled the seas
And sunk whole households to Gaia's belly
...

Stay down civilian, stay down
I held back once, I will not twice
No longer am I the bullied from elementary school
For now you will address me by title and not by name.
...

All things never done, done or undone disturbs the neighbour.
I sneeze, John frowns!
I cry, Jane pities!
I cough, Doe sneers!

Eulogy Of Adam

Great father, ... All-father
First of us all
Today, we lay you to rest
Today we sing our best
The praises we'll never forget
The praises of the one we will miss most

Say what they may about you
About the sin you passed on to us
But their true heart shall always love you
For without you, they would not be
So we weep at your solemn presence
As you leave us to join mother beloved.

O first default king on earth
We still always thought you would never leave us
Even though the lord had decreed
For we were never ready to accept that truth
That if you, the one (personally) handcrafted by our Lord should die
Then we...we...who were not...had no chance against such fate

And so there shall never be a sadder day than this
When all men in this earth have gathered
All to mourn their inevitable demise
And all because you bit into one piece of one fruit
Nine hundred and thirty years ago
And undid the immortal fate of the one handmade by the divine

The daughters of men share beds with the angels
In a desperate bid to rectify our terrible fate
While I, your Enoch, first priest among men
Devote all my life's service to the Lord in a bid to do the same
But as you leave us in this sadness, know that it shan't remain so
For one will definitely be born to us one day, ...sent by Him to rectify our fate.

You lived so long
And saw a plethora of generations begat from you
You saw them at their best and you saw them at their worst
And what glory you once saw, we can never dream of seeing again
Yes, we thought you would never lose the breath from on high
But alas, we thought wrong
