This mourning I awoke
To what must be death
For my heart no longer
Has any blood for hope

The emotional heart suffers
greatly while the physical heart
 continues to force life 
in a broken man
...

As I live each day
And die each night
Rebirth in the early hours
Growing as the minutes
...

Just as the new sun rises
On the eastern horizon
The time laden stars set
On the western horizon 
...

To the stones 
Must a tree grow
Through perseverance 
And time
...

If I die tonight 
Would it really matter
For perhaps a time
A week maybe three
...

Awaken by the ghost of anxiety
Pounding my heart to pieces
Feeling my skeleton tremble
 I try to see another picture
...

Delight in the moment
Of her need to say 
Her hearts angst and glory
Finding myself hesitating
...

Like pulling teeth
our talk is arduous, painful
not giving nor taking.
In circles we travel
...

Sitting here wondering where
My day will lead me
To what path shall I respond
Hope brings uncertain expectation
