Which watches and laughs,
Which soothes and mocks the wounds,
That it inflicted,

The eyes gaped at the sky,
At the stars so fiery
Through the casement half closed
Drooped and weary!

The scent that invades
The deepest darkness,
It kills and expunges
The silent guilt,
...

I could see the crests all weighted with colors,
And the fragrant air stirring the sleepy leaves,
I could see them capriciously stroking the roofs,
As they danced against the towering eaves!
...

The flames were blunt,
The rage was dry
The winter hot
And the summer was sly....
...

The ‘valor' was rich as the bygone years,
That slept with him in his silent graves
The sulking verses below the reposing Earth
Unvoiced death in soundless rave
...

The languid wish,
In her stolen heart,
All cleaved desires,
In that sunken Cask
...

The time has come for the ties to break,
Our eyes shall weep and our hearts shall ache,
The time has come for the friends to depart,
To move into the world, for lessons to impart,
...

The nude perfume that I wore
Was just my own
The Florets and the leaves
All did mourn

I stand behind those brazen bars,
Of a dungeon in those ill famed towers,
