Robert William Schmitz Poems

You do yours
And I'll do mine
I remember a time
Sitting on my floor
...

And in the night we'll never fight
And in the day we'll always play
...

This would be a new beginning
One in which I will not hide
I see it now and will no frown
This life of mine is now of pride
...

This is me
I'm always workin
I'm never free
I just keep gruntin
...

I saw if for long time

Your heart was never mine
...

It's about time I picked this pen back up
It's been far too long
It's time that I continued this song
The time never stopped
...

Spill the guts
Drop the glory
If you aint got the nuts
Then you aint worth the story
...

Lately I have been so tired;
The road closed from my head to my hand
The construction here is all too much;
I'll make a detour upon this land
...

Its things you do to me
They can only be explained by the unexplained.
Just a glance from those eyes
When I’m around you it feels as if the rest of the worlds issues have simply disappeared,
...

For WHY?
So here we are
A life so odd and weird
How are we surviving?
...

You’re left, your left
Your left right left
Roll the cadence in
When I was only ten
...

There comes a point in everyone’s life
That split second where all your outlooks are changed
The way you look at life stops, it’s as if the spin of the world reverses
Going back to the start of this night
...

No one can stop me
I feel on top of the world
I sore through these times
I’ve got these cherished wings
...

There is a sad truth which follows us
My heart grieves and begs for it
A small chance that you can open up
See into through these goggles
...

I don’t do this, Never, shouldn’t,
Always promised I wouldn’t,
But you see we can’t control our own mind,
So you see its shocking inside to find,
...

As I look down this tunnel
It looks so long yet only seconds to the end
Like a machine everything seems to spiral so quickly
There is no light at the end of my tunnel
...

This over analytical critical ink
Flows to the rhythm of a heart beat
Beats, beats, beats through this pen to you
You may not see it but you know it’s true
...

Who knew when you were five, that today you’d still be alive
It’s strange how everything comes and goes
How life, rough as it is just kind of flows
We drive down this bumpy road day in and out
...

The Best Poem Of Robert William Schmitz

Simple Moments

You do yours
And I'll do mine
I remember a time
Sitting on my floor
Pretzels are the shape
So calm and peaceful
So in tune with the music
Only silent static fills my ears
Sudden turn
Eyes burn deep
As you look right through me
Uncontrollably it starts at the neck
Needles flow freely through my back
But you don't know
A feeling so free
A flash of satisfaction
Just a simple reaction
Too good to be true
So I'll live for the moment
And forget all sorrows
Because only you
Build dreams into tomorrow.
