The binds around my wrist and the shackles on my feet
Your judgment of me is still incomplete
If you all only knew the real me
I'm not the front cover of my book that you all see

Sitting in this empty house again feels like I'm choking
But as I grab my chest I can tell that only broken
I used have that fire in my heart and the passion in my eyes
But now I just sit here under the truth of all the lies
...

People make mistakes every second of their lives.
It's a complete wonder how we are still alive.
Hatred plagues this very nation we stand on.
Does anyone know where we've gone wrong?

What is this strange courage I've suddenly got?
I guess her beauty got me off my train of thought
As soon as I saw her my stomach got put in a not
I got a million butterflies as soon as I saw her close up
...

So last night I couldn't sleep the whole time
I kept seeing this angelic girls face in my mind
This is the same girl I just confessed how I feel
She got my head spinning like a wheel
...

It is my choice to hold this and keep as long as I can
Having this with me does not make me less a man
I can still do all the things that you do and have fun
As long as I don't jeopardize my wait for the one
...

Life has been getting hard with all these trials and tribulations
I thank God for each of my friends to help me through these situations
Without them, what they have done, and the love they give me
I would have never been able to break all these chains and be free
...

Jesus is real and he is the way, truth, and the light
He watches over us so we can sleep through the night
His guardian angels protect and make sure we're well
God's goal is to save our soul and keep us out of hell
...

I looked around at the everyday faces today
Normally I would keep walking and be on my way
But today was different than it would normally be
As each face past I felt as if they were talking to me
