Emerging from the dark
Light beheld for the first time in a countless age
Lifted by the first morning light
I could endure the day
Or all the days of life
Flying above the inevitability of a dark demise
To soar for this short spell of time
Above the eternities of before and after
A defiant flight on ephemeral wings
Faster than the drawing of the dark
A moment of forever
