How fun it is to see fashions
Designed from back in the day
Some were tailor made and beautiful
Too bad the great styles didn’t stay

Long dresses were so feminine
But not necessarily comfortable
For the undergarments were sturdy
Whether in summer or in the fall

The nightgowns were quite pretty
But the night caps would be strange
How would you keep them on?
You’d constantly have to re-arrange

Hats were so fashionable back then
Wide brimmed and fancy for instance
But we’re getting new styles back now
Perhaps we couldn’t tell the difference

But it’s such fun to compare, I think
As styles changed in so many ways
And we capture them in old photos
We have kept from back in the day!
