Breathing in this day
In and out it seems so clear
The possibilities endless at this time of the morning
As the sun peaks it head inside my window

Waking up to a fresh start
a brand new beginning
Once again
I start
How magical it feels
Inside me to be given this miracle
Of a brand new fresh day

Laying my head down at the end of the night
Burdened with my endless thoughts
My worries

To awaken each morning
To the opportunity to once again
Get a chance to get it right

How have I always missed that?
This blessing we are all given

Hope
It is what moves within us
To keep the faith
That we can do it better tomorrow
No matter the mistakes
Made in the past
This by God, is a brand new day

Our opportunity to put what we have learned
To the test
Building this life one day at a time
Learning
Understanding
Do it better
One moment at a time

Until we come to that day
Where we understand
Finally, alas
It is all about the journey
Not the destination
This is our reward
