Faceless Man Poem by veronica gonya

Faceless Man

I once knew a man
tall dark and handsome
he used to tell me beautiful stories about his travels
he romanced me with his tongue
he knew the right words to make me fall deeply in love with him
his touch made me tremble
his look made my knees weak
his smell took my breath away
he made me feel special
he made me think i was the best thing in his life
he sang to me
danced with me all night
the moon was our friend
the night our world
love was all we needed

i knew no other love but his
i was addicted to his love
i could'nt focus without him
i was a zombie without him
i fell apart when he was away
i longed for his voice when he was not there

oh how i wish he would hurry home to me
how i wished i could go with him on his travels
but the funny part was that
he had no face
was all a dream
the man was my wishful thinking
a man of my dreams
how i wish he was out there
looking for me
dreaming about me too
