I pray I get home sense in addition to this academic sense
Because this form of education irks
It makes one cut and paste without editing
And turns the individual against society
It makes one embrace anything foreign
Speak and prefer a foreign accent to the local tongue
Clamour for foreign taste and look down on local food
And feel for foreign lifestyle without sieve
It makes one read and imbibe everything bookish
Tells us politics and election breed accountability
And make us believe in every theory and principle we read
And later; there is a difference between Theory and practice
Why should we dogmatically learn what they tell us?
When we've known difference between theory and practice
Seen the faults of plentiful of their theories and principles
And seen that theirs don't fit and fix ours
If not anything, we've noticed that
There is no absolute independence as sovereignty explains
The reason why we are still controlled after independence
And are unequal to other countries in world politics
This form of education is un-African
It cripples our hands and frustrates our brains
It is very alien to Africa and the black-man
So why don't we give it an African facelift
