Isolation Poem by Lisa Cresswell Wilkinson

Isolation

Rating: 5.0

In these four walls I sit and pray
alone I watch the clock
Each moment of every day.
Moments last forever
Each minute feels like hours
and every day seems like the other.
I long for something more to come along
just like before.
Solitude is my only friend in this
world that passes by.
Tomorrow brings no change in here
nothing new for me I fear.
Shed some warmth and shine a light.
Bring sunshine in my home and take
away the feeling of isolation I have
each day.
