My Cherie Amour Poem by michael spangenberg

My Cherie Amour

Just a lazy sunny afternoon

Feed my darling at KFC

Hip hop concert too

and then to Central Park

and Madison Avenue.

Just a perfect romantic evening

A kiss on the cheek in the park

And then later, a French kiss

When it gets dark, we go to the Milky Ways

To do our thing, and more.

It's such a perfect night, incapable of bullshit

Close bedroom reading, hungry bodies

I'm glad I spent the night with you

Blissful, mesmerizing that's who you are

Just keep me hanging on, magnet blue.

Thought of you as my Mont Blanc

Thought of you as my life's peak

Thought of you as everything I ever had

In spite of pre-eminence by virtue of superior

military strength, I couldn't keep.

Linger on your pale brown eyes

Skip my pointless life completely

Stuff it in a cup of gunpowder tea

They said, useless money is like men in time

They lie and cheat, but can't stand up.

Just an perfect foggy morning

Problems left alone all returned at once

You made me forget about myself

Believing I was someone else, someone good

Up for ‘æyou is down xzßfor me - vice versa too.

Footnote: Poetic variation on two Lou Reed Velvet

Underground songs: Perfect Day and Pale Blue Eyes (1978) .
