Peace Maker Poem by Rose Otterness

Peace Maker

Little child, you guide the world
You have no hate, and teach me true happiness
When you laugh
At the balloons floating in the
sky
No one has broken your heart
For the stranger you offer your
Biggest smile
And the only person you miss
Is your mother while she’s away at the
Grocery store
I admire you
Small being
Who picks up the yellow dandelion after it catches your
Eye
Even though the man in front of you stepped
On it
May I never forget you, and always love
A child’s eye
For the beauty of the world
