Rise Poem by Vision Ghost

Rise

Half an hour from your door, and I am missing you already
Hidden tears struggle, with a defence to keep myself steady
Still feels like a relativity in time, since I’d first kissed you
Before I looked into your grey eyes, with a hint of pale blue

And realised I’d just made love to an angel, in her own way
Can’t recall a time when I felt like this, that words can’t say
Or describe in fathomable detail, to express what I am feeling
Or for what my hearts captivator, is opening up this revealing

All I can do is close my eyes shut, and see yours so vividly
And dream of your embrace, arms around me in love wildly
Like horses free; experiencing landscapes for the first time
Sometimes I wonder what it is I’ve done, to have you as mine

So many times I’d thought, I wasn’t to be for this happiness
But now in your eyes I see wonders and passions, relentless
Sweeping over me, like the breaking crest of oceanic waves
Yet they carry my soul, to places within my heart that craves

Every song I hear, I see the recognition of our voices together
Locked so into a singular moment, that is meant to last forever
So overwhelming that even the release of tears, isn’t enough
To repeal a sense of normality, in amongst something so tough

Like a crazy dream, that’s surfaced toward realities instigation
Something that was meant to be for so very long, in integration
Of the germination of something so fragile, and yet so strong
After being alone and in a set frame of mind, for so damn long

Nothing could ever parallel, the happiness I feel for her now
As every smile is etched so deeply, across my heart felt brow
All I need is her arms around me, and I am complete as a man
To carry her heart to safety, to let nothing harm her sacristan

As her body be this temple, of a place I shall worship her here
I shall so forever be this warrior, to fend all of that of any fear
To capture a hearts rise like this emotion, as mighty as whales
I ask of Gods to grant her a pathway, so her vessel safely sails
