Alice has made a mess of everything
teeth clenching from the sting
she peeled back a scab
releasing the blood with a painful stab
It flowed like a river
from her chest
to her legs
and onto the floor with a shiver
As it slowly took over everything she had
Alice could only watch as she went mad
the beautiful color of the crimson stain
was all she could see as she went insane
there was nothing she could do
she could not put it back in the hole it came through
The sore in her heart now an empty space
she falls to the ground giving in to this tainted place
Regardless of any meaning this is just such a great piece. I love the flow and imagery. Esra Sloblock
She's not, she's not, she's not going mad Dyna, she can't be or she wouldn't know it! lol Great work. But, misguided rather than stupid I would say. Enjoying your work. Tai
A dark piece Dyna. Reminds me of the old Sisters of Mercy lyric 'Alice pressed against the wall so she can see the door, in case the laughing strangers call and crush the petals on the floor.' Evocative stuff. Grand.
