In the rush hour
On the subway
Fantasizing:
If the time could
Hold its breath
And freeze the people,
I would go through
Trains and stations
Always searching
For the face.
In the ghost world,
In the dream maze
I’ve been looking.
So elusive,
Can’t describe it.
Feel my quest
Is never-ending.
First I have to
Visualize its
Every feature,
Sketch, then flesh out,
Add the colours -
Only then it
Will take shape.
But I can’t.
‘Cause no one taught me
How to paint.
Julia, your art is expressed so eloquently in your words... beautifully done! Brian
But yet you have painted this fine piece of art.Loads of tallent here.Love Duncan
I like the fantasy of this poem, but not sure I like the last 'paint' line. Maybe if you mention being an artist earlier then it would make more sense. - chuck
I wish it was that easy, to be able to visualize our love and paint him or her so that we would recognize them when they arrive! We should be so lucky.
