The First Noel Poem by Dashaun Rashod Snipes

The First Noel

Rating: 5.0

The first Noel, a song of old,
Told of a story, wondrous and bold.
A star shone bright, in the dark of night,
Guiding wise men, to a humble sight.
In a manger, a tiny babe,
Wrapped in cloth, no crib to lay.
But in this child, hope was born,
For all mankind, on that Christmas morn.
The angels sang, with voices pure,
Announcing the news, to all who'd endure.
Good tidings of joy, they proclaimed,
For the savior is here, in the flesh and named.
No extravagant gifts, no royal birth,
Just a simple beginning, to change the earth.
For this child, would grow to be,
The one who'd save, you and me.
The shepherds came, with awe and wonder,
To see this babe, the promised Messiah.
They knelt in reverence, with hearts ablaze,
For this was the one, of whom prophets praised.
The first Noel, a tale so divine,
A story that's told, through the sands of time.
And every year, we sing its refrain,
Reminding us of true love that came.
So let us remember, on this holy day,
The first Noel, and what it did convey.
For in this child, lies our hope and peace,
The reason for Christmas, to never cease.
